JOSEPH WHEELER ON TIME

WheelerJohn-Strangest500x250px.jpg

Of all obstacles to a thoroughly penetrating account of existence, none looms up more dismayingly than “time.” Explain time? Not without explaining existence. Explain existence? Not without explaining time. To uncover the deep and hidden connection between time and existence, to close on itself our quartet of questions, is a task for the future.

— John Wheeler*

The future is apparently now.

John Wheeler was a pioneering physicist who  coined the term "black hole" among other breakthrough ideas. Wheeler conducted an experiment which led to the idea that human observers may not only determine the present, but also may influence the past. Whew! So taking his advice, I am exploring the strangest thing in my field which is, the idea that all of what I used to think of as our past lives may be occurring simultaneously. Adjacent, rather than past lives, brought to my attention by Michael Talbot in his “Your Past Lives.”** Welcome to the deep end!

A SNARKY SIGH OF RELIEF: Time travel isn't as dangerous as we think, study says

From an article that showed up in my Apple News feed:

Researchers say that if you’re worried about paradoxes in time travel, you shouldn’t be.

Based on a lot of complex math, (a team of researchers from UQ) team says they’ve determined that paradoxes related to time travel would be self-correcting.

For example, you could go back and interact with your past self without ruining your future or even changing it in any measurable way.

Whew, that’s a relief! Actually the article describes some fascinating work done under the supervision of physicist Dr. Fabio Costa at the University of Queensland by fourth year Honors student Germain Tobar, who have been investigating the possibility of time travel and the paradox principle. Tobar examined the math behind Paradoxes in time travel, best represented by the Grandfather paradox:

If a time traveller were to cause the death of his grandfather before his father is born, there the time traveler’s existence becomes impossible. (Or just watch the movie “BACK TO THE FUTURE.”)

Say you travelled in time, in an attempt to stop COVID-19’s patient zero from being exposed to the virus. However if you stopped that individual from becoming infected – that would eliminate the motivation for you to go back and stop the pandemic in the first place. This is a paradox – an inconsistency that often leads people to think that time travel cannot occur in our universe. Some physicists say it is possible, but logically it’s hard to accept because that would affect our freedom to make any arbitrary action. It would mean you can time travel, but you cannot do anything that would cause a paradox to occur.

In the coronavirus patient zero example, you might try and stop patient zero from becoming infected, but in doing so you would catch the virus and become patient zero, or someone else would... No matter what you did, the salient events would just recalibrate around you. This would mean that – no matter your actions - the pandemic would occur, giving your younger self the motivation to go back and stop it. Try as you might to create a paradox, the events will always adjust themselves, to avoid any inconsistency. The range of mathematical processes we discovered show that time travel with free will is logically possible in our universe without any paradox.

Interesting that scientists crunching the numbers rely on the fact that “events would just recalibrate around you.” Yes, but I’m more interesting in asking:

WHO or WHAT is adjusting events to avoid any inconsistency?

What becomes apparent when doing “other” and between lives research is the presence of some force, God/Spirit/Source/Who- or What-ever, that is working behind the scenes and pulling the strings. (Diane Swygard humorously referred to this as “Big Daddy” in a workshop back in the 1980’s.) Who- or what-ever that’s conducting this symphony of synchronous events (that’s a mouthful) is actively involved in and affecting life events. In a previous post* I mentioned the coins concept that has enabled me to explain the concept of how past lives can be adjacent to each other. Basically, if all of our “other” lives were represented as coins arranged in a single line, and someone or something knocked the coins to the floor & then collected them into a pocket, coins that were previously far apart, say from 1200 BC and 1850, would now find themselves next to each other. Bringing these coins together also brings these lives together energetically. And who is the Orchestrator in this metaphor?

The greater being that is your Oversoul is constantly rattling the spare change in its pockets.

The larger question becomes, Why? (to be continued, possibly to infinity, that’s a big question.)

PAST LIVES > ADJACENT LIVES > ADJACENT EXISTENCES

This is an update to an update, hopefully the first of many as I expand my comprehension of the concept of Simultaneous Time. I located a copy of “ANSWERS FROM A GRANDER SELF,” a 1993 book that collects the information received by Tam Mossman after he started channeling a “discarnate entity” that seemed disinterested in having a name, so they settled on James. This book was brought to my attention by Michael Talbot in his “YOUR PAST LIVES - A REINCARNATION HANDBOOK” which included an entire section on something I would have been very dismissive of not too long ago, that of PAST LIFE EXPLORATION WITH TRANCE ENTITIES. Mossman was the editor for Jane Roberts’ books and was present for several years of her channeling sessions, so he was mentally prepared when he felt his consciousness being turned down, “like a rheostat,” at a dinner party one evening. The book’s chapters cover material such as YOUR THOUGHT CREATED WORLD and YOUR TRUE BEING AND ABILITIES IN YOUR PRESENT BODY, but the best of the James material collected in this book refers to past lives, something Talbot noticed where he describes how:

…many of the discarnate entities that are manifesting in trance mediums today are entities of impressive wisdom and intelligence and are frequently in possession of information which could only be obtained by paranormal means. They are also, almost without exception, bursting with information about the subtle mechanics of the reincarnation process.

It took someone of Talbot’s credentials to open my awareness to this “wisdom and intelligence” and that’s what drew me to Mossman’s book. Some of these “subtle aspects of the reincarnation process” include reframing past lives as “adjacent lives” which I have mentioned previously. In a chapter interestingly titled REINCARNATIONAL CONFIGURATIONS: THE ULTIMATE LIFE FORM, James goes a step further:

I do not prefer the term lives, for lives begin and end. EXISTENCES GO ON FOREVER!! (emphasis is the authors) That… is my message: adjacent existences!

It doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, and I won’t be renaming this site “THE ADJACENT EXISTENCES PROJECT.” (Not to mention that Google searches for me would slide to zero.) But each reframe expands my consciousness towards a more comprehensive appreciation for the concept of simultaneous time, and I love that the word “adjacent” lends a concrete, “right next door” quality to an extremely subtle concept. I’ve been adding “adjacent existences” to my descriptions to my clients to see how they react. It’s never going to replace “Past Lives” but it’s “time” for a revision.

MORE MICHAEL TALBOT TAKES FROM THE HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE

Digging deeper into the amazing work of Michael Talbot from THE HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE (hardcover publication in 1991):

The idea that we can psychokinetically alter events that have already occurred is an unsettling notion, for we are so deeply programmed to believe the past is frozen as if it were a butterfly and glass, it is difficult for us to imagine the other wise. But in a holographic universe, the universe in which time is an illusion and reality is no more than a mind–created image, it is a possibility to which we may have to become accustomed

Remember that in a holographic universe, location is itself an illusion. Just as an image of an apple has no specific location on a piece of holographic film, in a universe that is organized holographically things and objects also possess no definite location; everything is ultimately non-local, including consciousness.

Addressing this non-locality, Talbot references the experiences of “a talented out-of-body subject named Keith Harary:

When he (Keith Harary) makes an OB (out of body) visit to the future he has sometimes even seen a silhouette of his future self in the scene, and that this is not all. When the events he has witnessed eventually come to pass, he can also sense his Time-traveling OB self in the actual scene with him. He describes this eerie sensation as “meeting myself ‘behind’ myself as if I were two beings,” an experience that surely must put normal déjà vu’s to shame.

And my favorite “proof” of non-locality:

Dr. Robert Morris, the director of research at the Psychical Research Foundation in Durham, NC, has even used animals to detect out-of-body visitations. In one experiment, a kitten belonging to …Harary consistently stopped meowing and started purring whenever Harary was invisibly present.

Right here in North Carolina, how about that? Even more impressive is that the Psychical Research Foundation is still in operation:

https://www.psychicalresearchfoundation.com

Talbot also published 3 novels in his lifetime; one, A Delicate Dependency, is a highly regarded vampire tale originally published in 1982. I reviewed his “YOUR PAST LIVES- A Reincarnation Handbook (1987) ” on October 24, 2018.

Michael Talbot’s contribution to the field of consciousness research in all of its varied forms is profound, and all of his work is worth your time and attention.

Michael Talbot on Time in a Holographic Universe and "Adjacent" Lives

When a friend mentioned that she was reading Michael Talbot’s THE HOLOGRAPHIC UNIVERSE, I thought to check in on that seminal work that introduced many of us to Quantum Physics to see what Talbot had to say about time. His description of a Holographic Universe is:

…the universe in which time is an illusion and reality is no more than a mind–created image…

We are still children when it comes to understanding the true nature of time. Unlike all children placed on the threshold of adulthood, we should put aside our fears and come to terms with the way the world really is. For in a holographic universe, or universe in which all things are just ghostly coruscations of energy, more than just our understanding of time must change. There are still other shimmering to cross our landscape, still deeper depths to plumb.

(A coruscation is “a sudden gleam or flash of light.”)

30 years later, I’m still plumbing those depths. So I returned to Talbot’s excellent “YOUR PAST LIVES- A REINCARNATION HANDBOOK” (which I previously wrote about in my Past Lives Project blog*) to find Talbot had been intrigued by the work of some of the channelers who were prominent in the mid-1980’s when the book was being written. He was impressed with Jane Roberts’ Seth books and also mentioned 2 lesser known channels, James and Lazaris. He described them as “discarnate entities,” that is, sources of information that are not in physical bodies at present or may never have been in physical form. All of whom had a unique take on Time that I am just now beginning to appreciate and incorporate into my work, and YOUR PAST LIVES was published in 1987!

For example, many discarnate entities assert that far from being frozen in a linear sequence of time, our past lives are actually occurring simultaneously, and it is only our belief that the past is frozen and unalterable that keeps us from realizing that at an unconscious level we are communicating with our past and future selves all the time.

To emphasize this point, rather than use the term past lives James suggests that we employ the term adjacent lives, for, as he explains, the life that is affecting us the most at any given moment may not be our most recent incarnation, but can be any one of our multitude of existences, no matter how seemingly remote in what we currently perceive as space and time. Indeed, he asserts that instead of being laid out in a neat line, our various incarnations are actually part of a much more active and unstable arrangement. As he explains, ‘the easiest analogy is to imagine a roll of pennies, each with a different consecutive date from 1800 to 1895, all stacked in chronological order. Some exuberant, youthful hand knocks over the stack, and all the coins roll and scatter, coming to rest everywhere – atop each other, next to one another, heads up or down. 1896 may be right next to 1930. 1815 may lie atop 1964. 1918 may have rolled off under the bureau, and never be heard from again. And so it is with our lives, your incarnations. The greater being that is your Oversoul is constantly rattling the spare change in its pockets, and so your ‘present’ life is constantly coming in contact with other past and future lives that may be quite distant in terms of chronological time, but extraordinarily intimate in terms of their psychological presence.’

According to James it is when two of these coins, or past lives, stick together that problems surface such as those that come to the fore during a past life regression. By realizing that we can ‘berth’ next to any past or adjacent life that we choose, we can access positive past life influences and experiences.

Lots to unpack there. “James” was originally channeled by Tam Mossman, who was the editor for Jane Roberts’ Seth books, and compiled his James work in a 1993 book, “ANSWERS FROM A GRANDER SELF.” Here’s what Talbot took from James’ channeling:

  • Our past lives are occurring simultaneously,

  • We are communicating with our past and future selves all the time (Note the inclusion of Future Selves!)

  • We have a limiting belief that the past is frozen and unalterable,

  • It may not be our most recent incarnation that is affecting our present life,

  • It can be any one of our multitude of existences, no matter how remote in space and (linear) time

  • Since past lives no longer captures the totality of this experience, “adjacent” lives is a better description.

  • This force can be experienced as a “psychological presence” in spite of being remote in time and space.

(I wrote a review of this book in October 2018 and completely missed all this information. There’s a lesson in there about getting what you need at the perfect time to absorb it.)

Talbot, who passed away in 1992, was so far ahead in this knowledge that I’m just now catching up. The James material that he references is right in line with what my clients are telling me lately, and I am not in the habit of quoting channeled or discarnate entities. But I am intrigued, and am waiting on a copy of Tam Mossman’s book to look into this further. I’ll let Talbot have the last word:

Although it is obvious that further research is required to determine authenticity of trance information sources, at the very least the pronouncement of discarnate entities provide interesting working hypotheses for some of the greatest mystical questions of all time… However, if this kind of entities turn out to be what they claim, … we may be forced to completely reassess our image of ourselves and our role in the cosmos.

Your Past Lives by Michael Talbot

BILL & TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE MEETS DOLORES CANNON?

I thought that might get your attention. But seriously, Time Loops are everywhere these days, and it is not a recent phenomenon, as this Dolores Cannon quotation (yes, another DC connection) will show. So how does the next “Bill and Ted Face the Music” film relate to Nostradamus and dear Dolores?

Having only watched the trailer (since the movie isn’t out yet) it appears that the beloved Bill and Ted characters have discovered that a song that they wrote saved the universe. Simple? No so, since they haven’t written it yet. Being the slackers that they are, they use their time machine to visit their future selves who have ALREADY written the song. Hilarity ensues, I’m sure. And what does this have to do with Dolores and Nostradamus?

Dearest Dolores was working with one of her favorite clients, Brenda, when, in the somnambulant state that she preferred to work, the past life personality became secretive about their activities. Dolores was unable to get them past this but continued the process. The past life personality was in fact sworn to secrecy as he was a student of Michel de Nostredame, who we know today as his nom de plume, Nostradamus. The church at the time considered anything to do with premonition to be the work of the devil and punishment was brutal and possibly fatal, hence the secrecy. Cannon, working in the 1980’s, had connected to Michel de Nostredame in the 2nd decade of the 1500’s as he was in the process of writing some of his 942 quatrains predicting future events, but disguising them in poetry and parable to keep his head connected to his shoulders. When Brenda was forced to leave the project, Nostradamus himself connected to Dolores to say that he would continue to work with her through whoever she hypnotized, which was mind-blowing to Dolores as she considered Nostradamus “the greatest psychic that ever lived.”

By some unknown power, he (Nostradamus) was able to sense that I was in communication with his student, and he was also aware that I was living in a future time…His last words to me were that he would come through anyone else that I chose to work with, he was that determined.

Only after adjusting to this new working situation did it get next level weird. In Cannon’s own words:

It was a persistent nagging in the back of my mind that I was a pawn, but for what?

…One day I made the offhand remark to Brenda, "Wouldn't it be funny if we were helping him write these?" These words were hardly out of my mouth when I felt cold chills run through my body.

Dolores was struck by how Michel seemed to be unfamiliar with some of the quatrains, and how he asked for parts of them to be read over and over.

I then got the full impact of his explanation of how he received his quatrains. He had said that while in trance he would write, but it was as though the forces from beyond the mirror would be guiding his hand. When he returned to consciousness, he would be aware of what he had seen but was often surprised at what he had written. While in trance he would see several things, one scene right after another. Then he would see that only one quatrain had been written, but the complex meaning applied to all he had seen. He was often amazed at the complexity of the puzzle and confessed that he felt there was some other element, other than his conscious mind, that was better at manipulating the words into these puzzles.

So here’s the Bill and Ted scenario: Cannon, in the 1980’s, is reading the contents of a completed book of (translated) quatrains to one Michel de Nostradame AS HE WAS STILL WRITING THEM! And Cannon felt like he was writing some of these down. (Not all of them; Cannon compiled 3 books of Nostradamus material in which he corrected some material he thought was misinterpreted from his original work.) But we have here a classic Time Loop. Having just had my own reframing of Time with a capital T, I understand her distress, and Cannon was dealing with this over 30 years ago. At the time, she said:

If he was alive at the same time we are alive, that brings up the theory of simultaneous time which is something I do not understand and do not wish to understand. Every time I try to think of this concept of everything occurring at once: past, present and future, I do not feel enlightened, I just get dizzy.

To Cannon’s credit, which adds to my appreciation of her work, she did up-level her understanding of Simultaneous Time and first wrote about this in her 1993 book “Keepers of the Garden.” By the end of her life, in her Convoluted Universe series, she was in her “comfort zone” with this re-alignment of the understanding of Time. From her daughter Julia’s qhhtofficial.com website:

Throughout the evolution of her career, a recurring theme is for Dolores to reach a “comfort zone” in understanding regarding a particular area. Then a new concept may be introduced to her by The Subconscious which often completely challenges her belief system and forces her to expand her way of thinking. An example of such an occurrence was when the Subconscious put forth the idea that time does not really exist as man identifies it. Every moment is NOW. The Past, Present and Future only exist in the NOW. We have been trained to view time as a linear progression of events based on the rotation of the Earth around the Sun. Using this rationale, we would have a completely different concept of time if we lived on another planet. What “time” would we use if we were travelling through space without orbiting the Sun. Time is simply the perspective we adopt.

I am fascinated by the attention that Time Loops and manipulating time are getting in popular culture, but that may be due to my recent “up-leveling” when my amazing clients introduced these concepts to me. Now the work is to explore past, present and future timelines as an avenue for consciousness expansion and healing. Stay tuned.

PS - With appreciation for Bill and Ted for paving the way once again, here’s the link to their new film; click on the coin slot for the trailer:

TV and Movies Take on Time Loops- Palm Springs, Timeless, and Tenet, Etc.

This may have been in the cultural zeitgeist and I was oblivious to it (totally possible) OR something has shifted in the mass media awareness of time and time loops, but what is most interesting to me in the light of my recent discoveries (uncover-ies?) is how movies and television shows are approaching the manipulation of these time loops.

I’ve always been intrigued by the way books, movies, and television shows seem to be one step ahead of the curve in paying attention to issues bubbling under the surface of mass awareness. In my lifetime, the best example of this was the movie “The China Syndrome” which was in the theaters in 1979 when the nuclear near-catastrophe at Three Mile Island occurred. One of the most downloaded movies of 2020 was “Contagion,” a film from 2011 which described a plague on modern society, which interestingly started in a casino. So it is fascinating to see so many movies dealing with Time and manipulating time show up in my online viewing queues. The grand-daddy of these movies was “Groundhog Day” which has become the template for observing our hero (or anti-hero) dealing with being stuck in a time loop.

“Palm Springs” on Hulu is the most recent addition to the this genre. I watched it last night, loved it, and enjoyed the characters’ arc from being trapped in a loop to using physics to escape it. In a review in The Atlantic, David Sims writes:

The film belongs to the growing canon of time-loop stories, which ensnare their characters in a repeating cycle from which there’s no discernible escape. Life proceeds normally enough, but its rhythms are unchanged; the monotony is comical and then unbearable…Where other time-loop movies (Groundhog Day, Edge of Tomorrow, Happy Death Day) were about their characters gaining some karmic sense of self-improvement, Palm Springs is about how reality can feel endless…

Now characters are attempting to take control of time, or at least corral it.

I had signed up for Hulu in order to watch “Devs,” Alex Garland’s multi-episode follow up to “Annihilation” and “Ex Machina.” A tech zillionaire assembles a team to conquer time solely so he can re-connect to his dead daughter. While on Hulu, I discovered that there is an entire category dedicated to shows about Time Travel. While scanning the list, I discovered a former NBC network show, “Timeless,” that spent 2 seasons with the good guys chasing the bad guys in time machines through some of the most prominent events of the modern era.

What would have been the movie of the summer for 2020 was Christopher Nolan’s “Tenet” had theaters been allowed to show it. Or it will be, time will tell. From the trailer, “Tenet” seems to be about a technology that reverses the flow of time and how it is weaponized. I am enjoying the energy being applied to this new movement towards taking control of Time, instead of being at the mercy of it.

Maybe the reason that this feels so relevant is that Time feels different in 2020, especially because of the COVID-19 pandemic and its upheaval of all of our schedules. The lockdown and the switch to working from home, or being out of work, has disintegrated the traditional Monday through Friday work week, adding to the sense of time speeding up or slowing down, or alternating between the two. The Aspen Brain Institute posted an interesting article “To Build Resilience in Isolation, Master the Art of Time Travel.” Author Adam Grant uses astronaut Scott Kelly’s year on the International Space Station as a template for handing life during a pandemic, and this quote caught my eye:

In isolation, time becomes meaningless. Every day starts to feel like Groundhog Day.

The grandfather of Time Loop movies has become daily life in 2020, ouch! Grant’s solution could be from my website’s landing page:

Taking mental trips to the future, to the past and to an alternative present can help build resilience.

David Sims again:

It’s not hard to view all art through the focus of the pandemic right now, but in Palm Springs, the subtext is practically text: We are all trapped.

But some of us are Shawshank-ing out of our cells. Stay tuned for more on the Timeline Journeying process.

Bashar on Gaia TV talks about Capital T-time

(This post is also on my Past Lives Project blog because it walks the fine line between past lives and Capital T-time, which most of my work is doing these days.)

I knew I had to check out Bashar’s talk from the LA Conscious Life Expo 2019 when 2 different people, on the SAME DAY, recommended it. Message received! Titled “THE PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE ARE WITHIN YOU” this talk presents Bashar’s concept of Capital T-Time with a unique slant. In the Q&A portion at the end he was addressing why, as he puts it, “50 people claim to be Cleopatra.” I thought he was dismissing past life exploration but he was addressing the way people can connect to someone else’s energy and mistake it for their own past life. He wrapped his talk up with this explanation of the bigger picture behind accessing our past lives:

If those lives were truly in the past, you would never be able to connect to them. The only reason you can connect is because everything exists now. …If things were truly in the past, if the past was really past, there would be no way you could reach them; there would be no way you could have a memory, because memory is also created in the present. You would never be able to connect to them, you would never know about them. The only way you can know about such lives and such experiences is if everything exists right now.

Another “confirmation” or rather, another opinion from a non-physical source that what we know of time doesn’t really exist. Bashar ‘s contribution is to consider that everything exists right now. Which is right in agreement with the information that is coming to me through my client’s and my own personal sessions, coming down to these 3 interlocking concepts:

-There is no Time as we know it, OR, Time as we think we know it does not exist;

-All of our Timelines, or Lifelines, are connected/ Its all US in all these lifelines;

-All of our timelines are happening at the same time.

Combining that with Bashar’s input, we have:

-Time as we think we know it does not exist BECAUSE EVERYTHING EXISTS RIGHT NOW;

-All of our Timelines are connected BECAUSE EVERYTHING EXISTS RIGHT NOW;

-All of our Timelines are happening at the same time BECAUSE EVERYTHING EXISTS RIGHT NOW.

As Bashar tells the audience at this 2019 Expo, you have to begin to think multi-dimensionally. That’s an interesting concept, more to come.

Other Lives - Past, Present & Future

Other Lives: Any life, whether past, present, or future, when we are inhabiting a body different than the one we presently occupy.

This is the new area of research for me: Timelines, both past and future, and let’s include present in there as well. When I mentioned this work in an email newsletter, Rev. Sandra Gelinas replied that her work in this area led to her use of the phrase “Other Lives.”

My awakening began when I saw Dr. Bruce Goldberg’s presentation at MegaUFOCom in Laughlin in February 2020. I had previously been unimpressed with this area of exploration, a failing on my part I now acknowledge. But I left what turned out to be the 25th presentation I’d attended that week very impressed. I clawed open my previously closed mind and approached John Till, a hypnotherapist from Joshua Tree, CA with whom I’d been trading sessions. He was familiar with this work and had been using some of Anne Jirsch’s techniques with his clients. I experienced this future lives work and was very impressed. I’d already ordered Goldberg’s revision of his 1988 book, updated as “PAST LIVES, FUTURE LIVES REVEALED” but first I read Jirsch’s “CREATE YOUR PERFECT FUTURE”, which I believe was her 3rd book on future lives. My favorite quotation from that book is:

Concentrate on creating a better future instead of recreating the past. You all need to know that you are the link from the past to the future…I was told that we too often allow our past to influence our present and control us; then, instead of making a strong new pathway, we keep retreading the old ones, even though that is the last thing we want. The key is to go back and create better pathways in your past.

This will have an immediate effect on your present and so open up a better, more positive pathway to your future...All you need to do is take a look at the future to see what outcomes you are not happy with, then go back into the past to fine-tune your decisions.

Only this week when I started to read Goldberg’s book did I find this reference to The Space-Time Continuum:

Modern day physicists use the term space-time continuum (coined by Albert Einstein) to illustrate the fact that there is no such thing as the past, present, or future as we know it. All of our lives are being lived at the same moment but at different frequencies. Thus, your past lives are occurring right now on a different frequency along with your present and future lives. They are all affecting each other. You are thus able to change the past and future by changing the present.

I found it fascinating that Goldberg wrote about changing the past AND the future. He described this occurring during a future life progression:

I asked the patient to go to the origin of a difficulty and she went forward to the 23rd century! The future life illustrates a karmic lesson or pattern, which is usually manifested in their current life. This often includes the same people, and provides a way to learn from the future to correct the present, thereby affecting the future.

The circle of life reframed! Going forward to see how out present energies are projected into the future, then using that potential outcome and our satisfaction with it to adjust the present, which in turn adjusts our future.

I have been exploring what I call the “Near Future” using Jirsch’s methods with great success, going forward 3, 6 and 12 months from the energies of the present. But Goldberg is an advocate of “The Far Future,” which is going to some distant century. I didn’t grasp this until I realized that his “All of your lives are occurring right now” meant that the root cause of an issue could be in the past, earlier in this present life, OR possibly in a future timeline. That was another in a series of expansions in awareness for me.

Another came in a discussion with John Till about this work, he asked if I’d had any clients describe being in more than one body at a time, in essence, living 2 parallel lives at the same time. I hadn’t but that accounts for my inclusion of Present Lives, the 3rd category of “Other Lives.” I recall but can’t find the reference that William and/or Diane Swygard made in this area; their advice was simply, and I’m paraphrasing: “Don’t get hung up on the math.” In other words, don’t use calendar time to refute any experiences if one life seems to end AFTER another one started. That was probably the earliest reference to what I’m now describing as Capital-T Time, this new larger concept of time that is outside of the linear straitjacket.

Capital T-Time has guided me into an entirely new area with my clients’ sessions, and one I hope to eventually introduce to the group format. But I have moved so far in such a brief time that I am no longer comfortable with limiting this work to Past Lives, which includes this website, my MeetUp, and blog. With this new awareness, I have decided to close down the Past Lives Project MeetUp, my connection to the Asheville area MeetUp community for the past 3 1/2 years. I am excited by my explorations connecting past lives to future timelines, and seeing how they move through the present. I may re-launch the Meet-Up with a new name and focus, but the MeetUp format has become stale, as has the online Zoom meeting format. Maybe something new will emerge from this societal lockdown, besides an entirely new way for me to approach our timelines. I hope this next journey will be intriguing to other “time-travelers” and I look forward to guiding you; we’ll take one step backwards before going two steps forward.
